Out for a walk with the dogs on snowshoes and look who is watchn. A Great Horned Owl. We have had a pair around lodge for a number of years and usually hear them regularly. I am sure he is watchn for mice by the bird feeder or maybe one of my hungarians,
Judy and the dogs out for a walk.. Snowshoeing is the best way to get around once the snow is over a foot in the bush. The dogs here are looking and sniffing for mice in the snow.

Honker hunting in Manitoba
George Eddie and Doug return for another year of hunting with Big Grass.. Birds in your face, shells ejecting and honkers on the ground is what they experienced.. Even Ice, Georges dog is thinking it was a work out this morning.
Scouting is the Job I do every morning and evening in waterfowl camp .. it is amazing what your see. Hot temps today but this doe and her fawns are feeding along one of the fields we will hunt tomorrow. It is awesome to see these cause we know in 6 weekw

Limits of ducks over water.. these guys had a great hunt. Many teals, gadwals, scaups, wideon, buffleheads, all make for big Smiles.

Our local population grows each year with good hatches of young geese. These gosslings are just 9 months ols but they still are great to hunt.
